The west bank of the Onga River flowing through the center of Nakama-shi contains many natural features and cultural properties. Abundant with greenery, the Habu Park is well known for its cherry trees and hydrangea, while the Tsukise Hachimangu Shrine is famous for the Japanese lily blooming in July. Be sure to view the old bricks and the rows of houses reminiscent of ancient times, as well as the farm crops growing in the countryside which change from season to season. There is also a spot to view the Onga River Source Pump House, listed as a World Heritage Site, beyond the Onga River.
